A deeper level of analysis
Our highly trained and certified technicians use the latest equipment and techniques to deliver accurate, reliable results. Advanced NDT methods allow us to detect even the smallest defects in your plant.
We understand that downtime is costly. That is why we are committed to fast and efficient service: advanced NDT helps you identify issues with plant equipment quickly and make informed decisions about repairs or replacements.

Advanced methods we offer
| Method | What it does |
|---|---|
| Phased Array UT PAUT | Electronically steered ultrasonic beams build a detailed image of the weld or component, with a permanent digital record. |
| Time of Flight Diffraction TOFD | Uses diffracted signals from flaw tips for accurate flaw detection and sizing in welds. |
| Alternating Current Field Measurement ACFM | Detects and sizes surface-breaking cracks, often through coatings. |
| Computed Radiography CR | Reusable imaging plates replace film, producing digital radiographs. |
| Digital Radiography DR | Direct digital detectors give near-instant radiographic images for fast review. |
| Eddy Current Testing ET | Electromagnetic inspection for cracks and wall loss in conductive materials. |
| Open Vision OV | Ask our team how this inspection can apply to your equipment. |
Benefits of advanced NDT
- Smaller defects foundHigher sensitivity than many conventional methods.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between conventional and advanced NDT?
Conventional NDT covers established methods such as UT, MT, PT and RT. Advanced NDT, such as PAUT, TOFD and digital radiography, gives more detailed analysis, digital records and can detect smaller defects.
What is PAUT?
Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing uses multiple ultrasonic elements steered electronically to build a detailed image of a weld or component.
What is TOFD used for?
Time of Flight Diffraction is used to detect and accurately size flaws in welds, especially in pipework and pressure equipment.
Does digital radiography need film?
No. Computed and digital radiography produce digital images instead of film, which speeds up review and makes records easy to store.
